Fairy Tale Dreams

Dreams of fairy tale endings
and story book boys
led her to believe
love can be a child’s toy.

Growing up fearless
thinking a man would complete her,
not knowing most came
to overpower and defeat her.

The child’s dreams faded
like the honeymoon phase
but remained a glimmer of hope
that love would see better days.

Bold and daring she stayed
to be true to her heart.
Little did it pay forward;
over time it’s broken apart.

Held together with little optimism
and dwindling hope,
she throws it on her sleeve,
not knowing how else to cope.

But soon enough sleepless nights
turn to speechless days.
This adventure has made her confident
in a new kind of way.

Cold sweats became blushed cheeks
from compliments she adores.
He speaks with charisma and charm
like she hasn’t heard before.

Her fear of the future
turned to excitement for what’s ahead.
She’s decided to persevere with love
and not give up instead.

Religion

I had my religion final today and wrote this for one of my essays! We had to write something creative about your faith. It's a little shaky, but I only had 20 minutes to write it. Hope you enjoy! I am sent from God in the heavens above. My father has sent me to be the holy one. I am strong with faith and forgiving to all. Anyone can be catholic, just read the conversion of Paul. My teachings can be found in all four gospels. Wait until you read the signs and see the stunts that i pull. I ate with tax collectors and even walked on water. I forgave the girl who committed adultery: she too is God's daughter. I'm here to spread the good news and give religion  start. Faith isn't found in a science book, but in your heart.
