For Sale
He bought her like property
with cheap dates and fake smiles
she cut him a deal
because she’d been on the market
for awhile
It’s become too competitive
To be someone’s first choice
And there’s no longer meaning
In having any kind of voice
And she figured it pointless
to take her own advice
So she threw up a for sale sign
with a pretty cheap price
He had other options,
But she was a steal
You don’t get the best girl
For the cheapest deal
They signed their lives away
On a contract anything but mutual
She was hoping for better
He was hoping for easy and useable
She clenched the pen tightly
Not knowing what was done
He just walked away knowing
It was nothing serious, just for fun
Now he’s used and sold her
Like he promised he would
and she’s back on the market
Feeling worthless and no good
Feeling worthless and no good
